God answered many prayers in significant ways this year, leaving no doubt that He was working according to His plan, in His timing, simply asking us to trust Him. We praise Him for supplying staff when we needed them, for the responsive hearts of the young people, for the effective preaching of the speakers, for His protection and safety, for extra volunteers during the hike, and for the strength He gave throughout the entire summer. More than anything else, we longed for God’s presence, and I believe He met with us in a very special way. Thank you to all who prayed with us!
Jon Thompson and his wife did a wonderful job connecting with the junior campers and presenting God’s Word in a captivating way. Many campers’ hearts and minds were directed toward the Lord through both the messages and the Thompsons’ practical example.
During Teen Camp, we welcomed campers from four new churches and were slightly over our maximum capacity. Pastor Ingram preached with great fervor, and the Lord worked in many hearts. Several young people made things right with their parents and pastors, and several trusted Christ as their Savior. One of the counselors had the privilege of leading a lady to the Lord during visitation, and one camper led another camper to Christ during the week. Praise the Lord!
God provided a new John Deere tractor this spring, and foundation work has begun on our new garage/storage building. We praise the Lord for the funds He has already provided and for the many volunteers who have helped with the project. We currently have enough funds to complete the backfilling around the foundation. The next phase will be framing the walls and roof. It will take approximately $12,000 to get the building dried in. We would appreciate your prayers as we trust the Lord to provide for this next step.
We are looking forward to our Men’s Retreat next month September 11–12. This year, Pastor Shaver, a former Black Hawk helicopter pilot, will be preaching with the theme “Men of Courage.” I am looking forward to hearing what God has laid on his heart. Please see the enclosed registration forms.
Our Winter Retreat is scheduled for December 28–30, 2026. We are excited to welcome a young preacher, Alex Melosivech. We met Alex several years ago during a youth conference and were encouraged by his testimony. I believe he will be a help and an encouragement to our young people.
