Dear Pastors and Supporting Friends:
We are thankful that we see the evidence of approaching spring here at Wildwood. We could have used some snow for the Winter Retreat (lots of mud instead), but we still had a good turnout, and the preaching by Evangelist Glenn Stevenson and the response of the young people was great.
The next event on our camping calendar is, of course, the Ladies’ Retreat May 18, 2019. This year we are privileged to have Christy Ingram. The Ingrams have been great encouragers to the ministry of the camp and to me personally. I know she will be a blessing to the ladies.
Speaking to our juniors and teens at summer camp will be Caleb Reed, a young evangelist from Falls Baptist Church in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. We are looking forward to hearing him for the first time here at Wildwood.
We are excited about, what would seem like, ambitious projects this spring and summer. Hudson Taylor said “Attempt great things for God; expect great things from God.”
- Someone has given funds to put down oak flooring in the main auditorium. We hope to start that as soon as we hear from the mill. We are praying to get this done before the Ladies’ Retreat.
- Also, we want to design a way to ventilate the auditorium for this summer.
- Another needed project is replacing cabins for our campers. Our present cabins are over 30 years old. Our pastor has taken on the project of raising the money to do this at a cost of $5,000 each. There will be more room in the new cabins, making it possible to have larger bunks and take care of overflow. We are praying that others will want to get involved with this much needed project.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and financial support over the years.
Sincerely in Christ,
