October 2025

October 23, 2025 By Wildwood

Dear Fellow Laborers,

We thank you for your continued prayers and support for the work in the mountains of West Virginia. God has been so good to us, and we desire to glorify Him for all that He has accomplished.

This year, we were blessed with wonderful weeks of camp, with Evangelist Joe Mueller preaching to both the juniors and the teenagers. Many decisions were made—for salvation, for surrender, and for standing boldly for the Lord, even if that means standing alone. In light of the recent tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, I found myself wondering how many of the young people will remember their decisions and rise up to be even bolder testimonies for Christ than he was. Please continue to pray that these young hearts would be used by God to spark revival in our homes, churches, and nation.

Last month, we held our annual Men’s Retreat, where veteran missionary Wayne Fair preached on spiritual warfare. His messages, interwoven with personal experiences from Papua New Guinea, were a great blessing. The men enjoyed wonderful fellowship, delicious food, shooting, axe throwing, singing, and most of all, the preaching of God’s Word. We were able to use our new automatic skeet thrower this year and added a few more targets to our 3D bow range. God gave us beautiful weather, safety, and most importantly, hearts that were responsive to His truth. Over a dozen churches were represented by the men who attended! We’re praying that the decisions made during the retreat will strengthen your homes and churches as well.

Looking ahead, our next scheduled event is the Winter Retreat, December 29–31, for teens and young adults. Evangelist Bobby Bosler—now a nearby pastor—has agreed to speak this year. We are grateful to have such an experienced youth evangelist close by and are looking forward to hearing from the Lord through him.

Our annual board meeting is scheduled for November, and we covet your prayers as we prepare for the 2026 season. We are still looking for opportunities to present the camp ministry in churches from January through March 2026. If your church would be interested in having us, please reach out. We are very thankful for the new support we’ve received this year and continue trusting God—and waiting on His perfect timing—to bring us into full-time ministry. What I believe God wants us to do may be impossible for men, but we are confident that with God, all things are possible!

By God’s Grace,

Joel Marshall
